CCAT’s Education Initiative focuses on the development and enrichment of interdisciplinary, collaborative, educational opportunities that stimulate innovation and enterprise.
Our efforts seek to: |

¨ Advance scientific literacy
¨ Increase lifelong appreciation of the role of technology in our culture, and
¨ Promote the development and training of the new and existent technological workforce needed for global competitiveness. |

We focus on:
¨ Developing and supporting project-based K-12 STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Manufacturing) programming that engages students, enhances technical competence, and promotes training of the emergent 21st century workforce.
¨ Implementing innovative professional development programs that equip teachers with the tools needed to generate student interest in emerging science and high technology fields and increase participation and achievement in STEMM content areas.
¨ Partnering with industry, informal science education organizations, and higher education to create strategic linkages that increase the STEMM talent pipeline and sustain
America’s competitiveness in the global economy.
