CCAT'S EDUCATION & TRAINING INITIATIVE

CCAT's education and training efforts focus on the development and enrichment of interdisciplinary, collaborative educational opportunities that stimulate innovation and enterprise. CCAT's Education & Training Initiative:

¨    develops and implements inquiry-, problem-, and project-based K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programming that engages students, enhances technical competence, and promotes training of the emergent 21^st century workforce (see "Student Programming");

¨    implements innovative professional development programs that equip teachers with the tools needed to generate student participation and achievement in emerging science and high technology content areas (see "Teacher Programming"); and

¨    partners with school districts, industry, informal science education organizations, and higher education to create strategic linkages that increase the STEM talent pipeline (see "Outreach and Awareness" and "Partnerships").
